Website helper and palettes
Plan a website through a short interview, get page and section recommendations, approve a blueprint, and pick a colour palette from your logo.
Plan a website with the helper
Section titled “Plan a website with the helper”Open Design → Website helper. The badge at the top says whether suggestions use Claude suggestions or Matching without AI.
-
Start a plan. Under Plans, name it and click Start plan.
-
Answer the interview (1. Discovery). Round 1 has 8 questions, 5 of them required: industry, primary goal, audience, region and brand evidence. For a required question you can Save answer or Let Atlas assume. Round 2 opens with up to 7 optional follow-ups (lead capture, offering pages, languages, compliance, proof points, motion level, content owner), each with the reason it is asked.
-
Add briefs (2. Briefs), optional. Upload text, Markdown or JSON files up to 256 kB. Briefs are read as plain information: instructions inside them are flagged and never followed.
-
Get recommendations (3. Recommendations). Atlas suggests page types, the sections your website already has, and approved library items, and lists its Assumptions.
-
Approve the blueprint (4. Blueprint). Adjust each Page title and Address (slug), then click Approve blueprint. An approved blueprint never changes; start a new plan to change direction.
-
Create draft pages. Click Create draft pages, then Open draft to fill them in the page editor. Nothing is published.
AI and credits. When AI suggestions are on, each recommendation uses your organization’s AI credits. If AI is not set up, there are no credits left or the AI is unavailable, Atlas falls back to matching without AI and charges nothing.
Limits. Up to 50 plans per site and 10 briefs per plan. Draft pages are created empty from their page type; recommended library items are listed but not placed on pages.
Pick a palette from your logo
Section titled “Pick a palette from your logo”Open Design → Brand and the card Palettes from your logo (the site needs an active site contract).
-
Choose what to Sample colours from (your logo or a media image; PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF), then Suggest palettes.
-
Compare six palettes: three From your logo and three Independent. Each shows WCAG contrast as AA, AA large or Fails. Switch Preview width between Phone and Desktop and click Compare on a page to see them on a real page.
-
Click Edit tokens to adjust any of the 12 colours (background, surface, text, muted text, primary action, text on primary, accent, border, success, warning, error, focus ring). Contrast is measured again as you edit; Reset to suggested undoes your changes.
-
Click Use this palette. Palettes with text below 4.5:1 contrast are not offered.
Using a palette proposes a site setup change; it does not change your website. A site admin reviews and activates it under Site setup, and your developer maps the colour tokens to your CSS. Atlas shows the developer task with the proposal.
Templates. Save as template keeps a palette for every site in your organization (up to 100 templates). Use it on another site with Use template.
For coding agents
Section titled “For coding agents”A coding agent connection with the Read website plans permission can read approved blueprints, palettes and design tokens over MCP, read-only. See AI agents (MCP).
